Privacy policy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the contact form. Everything below is the detail behind those two sentences.
Who we are
Sonical Inc, San Mateo, California. We are the data controller for this site. For anything on this page, write to info@sonical.ai.
What we collect
If you submit the contact form, we receive:
- Your name and email address
- The reasons for interest you tick
- Your IP address and the page you submitted from
When any page loads, our host records a standard web server log entry: the request, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
That is everything. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no profiling, and nothing stored on your device. The fonts and images are served from our own domain rather than someone else's, so reading a page introduces you to nobody. Browse as much as you like and we learn nothing about you beyond a line in a server log.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, and to carry on the conversation if there is one worth having. We do not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. Under UK and EU data protection law our lawful basis is legitimate interest, specifically responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. Server logs exist to keep the site running and secure.
Who else touches it
HubSpot
Our CRM. Contact form submissions are stored here, in HubSpot's EU data centre.
Netlify
Hosts the site and holds the server logs, on their retention schedule.
ipify
When you submit the form, your browser asks ipify for your public IP so the enquiry is not blind to where it came from. On submit only.
Sonical is US-based, so an enquiry you send us is handled in the United States. Each of the services above is used for the single job described and none of them get your details for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in HubSpot until you ask us to delete them, or until they are plainly stale and we clear them out. Server logs are held by Netlify on their own schedule and we do not copy them anywhere.
Your rights
Email info@sonical.ai and we will act on it. You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop contacting you. No form, no account, no hoops.
If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we hold and to have it deleted. We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
Changes
If we start collecting anything beyond what is described here, this page changes first. Last updated 6 September 2026.
